When we say that the honeybees on our grounds are the hardest working creatures, we aren’t kidding. A good percentage of the food that nourishes us wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the honeybee—and the significant role that this beautiful creature plays in pollination. So, with this product, we celebrate the honeybee in four different delicious ways.
Cut Honeycomb
We tend more than forty beehives at the Culinary Vegetable Institute, and both our cut comb and creamed honey come from their diligent efforts. With our cut honeycomb, you can serve honey in its natural state, allowing your family and friends (including children) to better connect with the world of natural food ingredients.
Creamed Honey
Meanwhile, our smooth and silky creamed honey melts in your mouth! The Culinary Vegetable Institute team takes raw honey from our hives and then whips this into its oh-so-ethereal form: elegant, light, and delicious. Spread on toast or cheese, and otherwise use this flavorful product wherever your imagination takes you.
Flowerhouse Tea
Our farm team selected their favorite edible flowers—ones that may be our bees’ favorites, as well!—and collaborated with Rare Tea Cellar to create marvelous custom tea blends. In the Honey Experience, you’ll get one variety of this incredible tea, either green or black. If you’d like to see the ingredients of each of our five proprietary teas, please look at our Flowerhouse Tea Box.
Edible Mixed Flowers
Top your fragrant cup of tea with edible flowers grown at The Chef’s Garden and add them to your salads, desserts, and cocktails—even your main dishes. Flavors of these edible blooms range from sweet to slightly bitter, herbaceous, aromatic, and citrus. Delightful textures that they add to your drinks and dishes include firm to soft to succulent, and from fuzzy to crispy to waxy.
