We often say healthy soil = healthy plants = healthy people, and specific to preconception healthy parents = healthy kids. 

Preconception is not just about women’s health, it’s also about men's health. It is never too early to start making changes to improve your reproductive health. For both males and females, when considering conceiving a great first step is to reduce (or eliminate) consumption of alcohol, caffeine, smoking, NSAID use, and processed meat. Second, this is also the perfect time to make sure your blood sugar is balanced and thyroid, hormone, and digestive health are optimized. Finally, focus on deep nourishment through vegetable forward meals that include plenty of phytonutrients.
